Adani Ports plans up to $100 million AI investment with Kaleris

Adani Ports (APSEZ) is going big on tech by plans to allocate up to $100 million in two phases with U.S.-based Kaleris to bring AI-powered systems to 15 container terminals across nine ports in India and abroad.
This move is part of its larger $850 million plan to upgrade technology and cut emissions by 2031.
APSEZ upgrades could unlock 91Mt capacity
The upgrades aim to make port operations faster and smoother: think cranes working 20% better, trucks moving more efficiently, and yard space used smarter.
APSEZ wants to handle 1 billion tons of cargo each year by 2030, and these changes could unlock enough capacity for about 91 million metric tons.
It's all about making shipping quicker, more reliable, and ready for the future.
