Air India is looking to return two of its four office towers in Gurugram as part of a bigger plan to cut costs.
With fuel prices and currency rates making things tough, the airline wants to save on rent and is working on a work-from-home policy for staff who will be affected.
Air India losses exceed ₹6,000 cr
The airline has also paused flights to Copenhagen and Vienna and trimmed down trips to London Gatwick and San Francisco.
Plus, it is merging some departments with Air India Express to avoid overlap.
All these moves come as Air India faces heavy financial losses, over ₹6,000 crore lost just in the first quarter of this year, so it is hoping these changes will help steady things for the future.
