At Mumbai summit Anand Ramamoorthy: 73% of firm data 'bad'
Turns out, AI isn't as unstoppable as it seems: bad data is holding it back.
At the recent Data and AI Summit in Mumbai, Anand Ramamoorthy, Director APAC Data Governance and Quality at Informatica from Salesforce, pointed out that some companies are struggling big time, with one company flagging 73% of its data as 'bad.'
Ramamoorthy suggests AI-ready data products
Anand Ramamoorthy, Director APAC Data Governance and Quality at Informatica from Salesforce, explained that without strong data governance—basically rules and systems to keep data clean and clear—AI can get stuck or even spit out weird results (think: hallucination).
He suggests using machine-readable metadata, prepping "AI-ready" data products, and bringing in smart tools to help humans manage all this.
The goal? Less manual work for people, and a smoother path to smarter AI.
