Avaada Group to reach 17.7 GW in 2 years
Avaada Group just announced a big push to reach 17.7 GW of renewable energy capacity within the next two years.
They've already signed deals for an extra 10.5 GW, which helps secure funding and fits right in with India's clean energy goals.
The news dropped as the Avaada Bharat Uday Yatra wrapped up on Tuesday, a campaign all about getting people excited about India's green future.
Avaada adds panels, green hydrogen, storage
Right now, Avaada runs over 7.2 GWp of renewable projects and has approximately 10.5 GWp under construction, costing around ₹4-5 crore.
But they're not stopping at power: the group is also making solar panels, working on green hydrogen, building energy storage solutions, and launching pumped storage projects.
At the Yatra event, Union Minister for Jal Shakti C R Patil called for everyone to pitch in for sustainability, while Chairman Vineet Mittal highlighted how these efforts are connecting more people to India's renewable journey.
