Axis Bank reassures customers amid Mythos security gap claims
Axis Bank is reassuring customers that its digital systems are solid, even as AI tools like "Mythos" claim to spot security gaps faster.
Gaurav Gupta, Group Head, Financial Crime Intelligence, Axis Bank, explained that fraud generally happens because people get tricked by fake messages, not because of weak tech.
He emphasized that Axis Bank's operations are secure and robust.
Axis Bank cuts retail fraud 40%
To tackle new tech challenges, Axis Bank has rolled out features like Mobile App Code and Face Authentication, which helped cut retail banking fraud by 40% in FY26 (fiscal year 2025-26) compared with FY25.
Alongside boosting digital safety, the bank plans to open 50 new branches in West Bengal (and around 500 branches across India), aiming to make banking safer and more accessible for everyone.
