Business
Bengaluru's startup scene just hit a $153 billion valuation, ranking 15th globally and 6th in Asia, according to the Global Startup Ecosystem Report 2026.
The city leads India in AI venture funding (58% of the country's total), raised $39 billion in venture capital from 2021 to 2025, and saw $46 billion from 304 startup exits.
Bengaluru excels in deep tech
The report spotlights Bengaluru's strength in deep tech and emerging tech, with startups exiting faster, just 8.2 years on average versus the global 11.1 years.
Affordable talent is a big plus too; software engineers here earn a median salary of $19,600.
Government support through new policies and missions is also fueling this growth, even as most late-stage AI funding still goes to North America.
