Boston Consulting Group report: India among top 3 AI destinations
India just made it into the world's top three destinations for artificial intelligence (AI) talent, says a new Boston Consulting Group report.
Even though global movement of AI experts dropped last year thanks to stricter immigration rules, India held strong, now home to 6% of mobile AI professionals and about 7% of globally mobile STEM talent worldwide.
India records biggest AI talent gain
India saw the biggest jump in its share of global AI talent among major countries, up by 1.3% points.
This boost comes partly from highly skilled Indians returning home, which is helping fuel more innovation locally.
Still, India sends out more skilled professionals than it keeps, while new hot spots like the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia are attracting more talent away from traditional places like Canada and the UK.
