BSNL and Vodafone Idea expand roaming to boost connectivity
BSNL and Vodafone Idea (Vi) are expanding their roaming partnership, so now if you're in one of 12 to 13 new circles where either network is weak, your phone should have a better shot at staying connected.
This upgrade is all about making sure users get stronger signals and fewer dropped calls, especially in places where coverage usually struggles.
As one government source put it, the goal is simply better service for customers.
BSNL cleared for 26,000 4G towers
BSNL isn't stopping there. It has the green light to add 26,000 new 4G towers on top of its current 100,000.
Meanwhile, Vi is hustling to raise funds for its massive 45,000 crore rupees expansion plan and has already raised 6,400 crore rupees as the first tranche of funds, including 1,183 crore rupees from warrants and debt proceeds, through ECB and Indian private banks.
So if you're tired of bad signal or slow data speeds, some real improvements could be coming your way soon.
