Senco Gold sales jump over 25%
Jewellery stores saw a wave of visitors, especially in cities like Jaipur and Surat. People went for everything from classic gold pieces to diamonds and lightweight designs, with many even trading in old jewelry for new ones thanks to the price drop.
Senco Gold reported a more than 25% jump in sales value, with higher footfalls, strong diamond jewelry sales and participation from wedding shoppers contributing to growth, and P N Gadgil Jewellers expects the industry is expecting gold and silver sales of around ₹40,000 crore this Dhanteras.
All signs point to the gold market bouncing back strong after recent ups and downs.
