Diwali offers: HDFC, ICICI, IndusInd Bank announce discounts on loans
With Diwali around the corner, banks are making it easier to borrow and spend.
HDFC Bank is offering personal loans at 9.99% interest—no foreclosure charges if you borrow over ₹15 lakh and have a CIBIL score above 730.
Home loans start at 7.40%.
These moves come as retail credit growth is expected to jump over 20% in the second half of FY26, thanks to recent GST and tax cuts.
Other banks are also joining in with festive offers
ICICI Bank is charging a flat ₹5,000 processing fee on home loans and giving up to ₹6,000 cashback if you buy an iPhone 17.
Bank of Baroda has home loans from 7.45% with zero processing fees, plus up to 90% financing on vehicles and a 50% concession in processing charges for electric vehicles.
IndusInd Bank joins in with a 50% discount on processing fees for various loans—including personal loans starting at 10.49%.
