Einride raises $100 million to accelerate electric, autonomous freight trucks
Swedish startup Einride has landed $100 million in fresh funding, with big names like EQT Ventures and IonQ on board.
The cash boost will help speed up their rollout of electric, autonomous freight trucks and support the company's next chapter under new CEO Roozbeh Charli (while co-founder Robert Falck steps into the executive chairman role).
Since 2016, Einride's been shaking up how goods move by ditching traditional trucks for electric rigs and driverless pods.
Einride's trucks are already on the road in several countries
Einride started out in Sweden but now runs its futuristic trucks across Europe, North America, and the UAE.
Big brands like PepsiCo and DP World are already on board, using Einride's electric trucks.
The company's unique driverless pods, which don't even have steering wheels, are working with companies like Apotea and GE Appliances.
After raising $500 million in 2022, Einride looks set for even more growth as it takes on the future of freight.
