Former Spotify employees raise $10 million for Malachyte 2-headed vector AI
Three former Spotify employees, Sidd Motwani, Ian Anderson, and Shivaditya Sinha, just raised $10 million for their new startup, Malachyte.
Their platform uses two-headed Vector AI to instantly figure out what shoppers want and tweak recommendations in real time, making online shopping feel way more personal.
The funding round was co-led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Gradient, with Harpoon Ventures also on board.
Monitors clicks and searches instantly
Malachyte stands out because it doesn't just rely on your past purchases: it watches what you click and search for as you shop, then updates suggestions right away.
After developing and testing its technology since 2024, it first went live in the fall of 2025 with Fun.com and rolled out to Shopify stores in June 2026.
Larger retailers can plug it into their sites using an API too.
