Geon completes 2.88 GWh Khavda BESS to aid renewable integration
Geon has finished building a huge 2.88 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Khavda, Gujarat, in just five months!
This system is now up and running, making it easier for India to use more clean energy by helping balance the power grid and handle renewable energy integration.
One of India's largest BESS
This project is one of the largest of its kind in the country. Geon handled everything from setup to testing, using advanced tech to keep things running smoothly.
Anand Kabra, Chairman and Managing Director at Geon (Green Energy ON), called it a "The Khavda project is a meaningful marker of how quickly energy storage infrastructure is scaling in India."
The Khavda site itself is becoming a key spot for renewable projects, helping make green power more reliable across the country.
