IBM, Walmart make big moves in Bengaluru's tech scene

Business

IBM India and WM Global Technology Services just signed major office leases in Bengaluru, showing how the city's tech industry is still booming.
IBM grabbed over 1.6 lakh sq. ft at Embassy Golflinks, where it has significant Global Capability Centre operations, while WM Global picked up about 1 lakh sq. ft at Prestige Tech Cloud near the airport—adding to their recent Chennai expansion.

Why it matters

Bengaluru continues to lead India's commercial office leasing surge, with GCCs like these driving more than half of this year's big deals.
Experts think office leasing could hit 80 million sq. ft by 2025, and these new moves from IBM and WM Global are only adding fuel to that growth.
