IIT Madras announces 7 commercial MoUs to unlock nearly US$100 million
IIT Madras and its international arm just announced the exchange of seven commercial MoUs between Indian deep-tech startups and their international partners, alongside two institutional MoUs, worth about expected to unlock value creation of nearly US$100 million at Bharat Innovates 2026 in France.
The goal? To help Indian innovations go global, attract investment, and spark fresh ideas.
Agna Capital fund backs deep tech
Startups like Agnikul Cosmos, TuTr Hyperloop, Detect Technologies, and iElectron Technologies are on board.
There's also a new Bharat Innovates Fund with Agna Capital to back promising deep-tech ventures, plus a tie-up with SouthwestX to help Indian startups break into Germany and France.
IIT Madras Director V. Kamakoti said, "Bharat Innovates 2026 has proven to be a watershed moment for Indian deep tech.
