India's AI and cloud tech surge is paying off for top data center leaders.
The industry, now valued at $5.5 billion with massive new investments, has boosted salaries for execs like Manoj Paul of Equinix (₹5.91 crore a year) and Piyush Somani of ESDS Software Solution, whose pay jumped from ₹83.8 lakh to ₹1.8 crore in just two years.

Even with these gains, data center bosses earn much less than leaders in India's IT services sector, where salaries can hit a jaw-dropping ₹390 crore.
But as the data center scene keeps growing, more raises could be on the way.
