India and Uzbekistan aim to double goods trade to $1.345bn
Business
India and Uzbekistan are teaming up to boost their goods trade, aiming to double it in the next three years from the current $672.5 million.
This big goal was set during a recent meeting between both countries, where they agreed it's time to step things up and make business smoother.
India, Uzbekistan prioritize medicines and energy
They've picked out key areas like affordable medicines, medical equipment, machinery, and even processed foods as growth spots.
India is especially keen on sharing its strengths in pharma and agriculture tech, while both sides are looking at energy partnerships and critical minerals supply for energy cooperation.
To make all this happen faster, they're also working on cutting down red tape so trading gets easier for everyone.
