Indian Railways gets biggest-ever budget boost for 2026-27

The government is planning to allocate Indian Railways a record ₹2.76 lakh crore for 2026-27—a 12% jump from last year and the highest it's ever received.
The railways are moving fast too, already spending over 78% of this year's budget by mid-November.
