Indian rupee gains 6 paise to 94.34 vs US dollar
Business
The rupee closed a bit stronger at 94.34 against the US dollar on Friday, gaining six paise.
This small rise came as traders felt upbeat about progress in India-US trade talks after Modi and Trump's G-7 meeting.
Still, the rupee's gains were held back by a strong US dollar and higher crude oil prices.
Sensex drops over 600 points
Even with some good news on trade, Indian markets had a rough day: Sensex dropped over 600 points and Nifty slipped too.
Uncertainty around U.S.-Iran relations and foreign investors pulling out money also weighed down market mood, showing that global factors are still making things tricky for investors here.
