India's services exports jump 14% this year
India's services exports soared to $355 billion from April 2024 to February 2025—a 14% jump over last year.
IT, business, and computer services made up most of this, and just in February, exports hit $35 billion.
With a 4.3% global share, India is now firmly among the world's top service exporters.
Services exports growth story
For the past 30 years, services exports have grown much faster than goods—almost 15% per year versus just under 10%.
This steady rise is contributing to India's growing prominence in global services exports and is turning India into a global hub for high-value services, much like China did with manufacturing.
With policy changes and a young workforce, experts say services will be key to India's goal of becoming the world's third-largest economy this decade.
