Big day for Asian markets: Japan's Nikkei 225 just smashed past its previous record, jumping 2%.
South Korea's Kospi also saw a boost, thanks to strong gains from SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics.
Oil slide, U.S.-Iran thaw fuel rally
Not all markets were up: South Korea's Kosdaq slipped a bit and Australia stayed pretty flat.
The rally was mostly sparked by dropping oil prices and easing tensions between the US and Iran, plus some cautious signals from the US Fed about interest rates.
