Jeff Bezos tells VivaTech Paris AI will create labor shortage
Jeff Bezos just flipped the script on the usual AI debate at VivaTech Paris: he thinks AI won't take away jobs, but actually create a shortage of workers.
"AI is going to create a labor shortage," he said, pointing out that tech like this could open up fresh opportunities for people in all kinds of industries.
Bezos unveils Prometheus to speed manufacturing
Bezos also showed off his new AI startup Prometheus, which aims to make manufacturing faster.
On the space front, he's still dreaming big with Blue Origin, hoping to move polluting industries off Earth and mine resources from asteroids and the moon.
Meanwhile, Blue Origin is busy fixing its Florida launch pad after a recent accident.
And even though Bezos is optimistic about AI, a recent poll found that half of Americans are still worried it could lead to job losses.
