Michael Dell donates $750 million for new UT Austin campus
Dell CEO Michael Dell, a UT Austin alum, has donated $750 million to the University of Texas at Austin.
It's one of the biggest gifts ever to a US public university, pushing total donations from Michael and Susan Dell past $1 billion.
The money will help build a new health care and research campus, including the country's first AI-powered hospital.

Besides making campus history, this donation will fund scholarships, boost medical research, and upgrade tech infrastructure.
The new UT Dell Medical Center is set to open in 2030 with AI tools for faster disease detection and personalized treatment.
And as a nod to his roots, UT has recently announced that the residence hall where Dell lived as a freshman will be renamed Dell House, a pretty cool full-circle moment.
