Lenskart was ordered to pay ₹15,000 as compensation and ₹5,000 toward litigation costs for failing to deliver on its "buy one get one free" deal.
The Nellore consumer commission called out the eyewear brand for unfair trade practices and reminded companies that promos like these are legally binding.
Lenskart refunded half the payment
A customer bought glasses at Lenskart's Nellore store in March 2025, expecting a free pair as promised. Instead, only one showed up.
When the issue wasn't fixed, Lenskart refunded just half the money.
The commission ordered them to pay back the rest with interest, plus ₹15,000 for mental distress, and ₹5,000 toward legal costs.
Lenskart has 45 days to sort it out.
