Big change at Voltas: Noel Tata is stepping down as chairman and director on November 11, after more than 20 years with the company.
He'll be named chairman emeritus in 2026, a nod to his long run and impact at Voltas.
Voltas appoints Sunil D'Souza chairman
Sunil D'Souza (currently leading Tata Consumer Products) will step in as the new chairman from November 12, 2026, as part of a planned leadership shuffle.
There are more moves too: C. P. Mukundan Menon will retire as managing director next May, with Jayant Balan set to take his place (pending approval).
Plus, the board has also approved the appointment of Venkatesalu Palaniswamy as an Additional Director in the non-independent, non-executive category from November 12, 2026.
