Nothing partners with IIT Roorkee and IISc for deep tech
London-based tech brand Nothing just signed deals with IIT Roorkee and the Foundation for Science, Innovation and Development at the Indian Institute of Science to boost deep tech innovation and entrepreneurship in India.
The announcement came at Bharat Innovates 2026 in France, with Nothing's co-founder and India President Akis Evangelidis joining hands with top leaders from both institutes.
Mentorship, design challenge and pilot projects
The IIT Roorkee partnership is all about mentorship: think expert sessions, real industry case studies, and the partners will also explore organizing an Industrial Design Challenge.
Over at IISc, startups incubated within the IISc ecosystem will get guidance, networking chances, and Nothing and FSID will also explore opportunities for pilot projects and commercial engagements involving incubated ventures.
Both tie-ups aim to turn academic ideas into real-world tech that could shape India's future.
