NVIDIA, Qualcomm lead $12B deep-tech fund for Indian startups

Business

NVIDIA and Qualcomm Ventures are joining a coalition of top US and Indian investors to give India's deep-tech startups a serious boost.
This comes alongside a massive ₹1 trillion ($12 billion) R&D initiative rolled out in November 2025, aiming to solve big infrastructure challenges.
The coalition itself has pledged over $1 billion to invest in promising tech ventures.

Deep-tech funding in India surged 78% last year

NVIDIA brings AI expertise, while Qualcomm offers funding and valuable connections.
Together with Celesta Capital, Accel, Blume Ventures, and others in the India Deep Tech Alliance, they're planning to invest in and mentor startups for the next decade.
With Indian partners already pledging $850 million, this move comes as deep-tech funding in India jumped 78% last year—though there's still room to catch up globally.
The hope? More innovation, more opportunities, and a stronger tech scene for young founders across the country.
