Shailender Kumar: Indian firms move AI from pilots to production
Indian companies aren't just playing around with AI anymore; they're actually putting it to work.
At Oracle AI World 2026, Oracle India's Shailender Kumar shared that this move from testing to real implementation is already saving businesses time and money.
Still, there are some hurdles, like high costs, not enough skilled people, and tech infrastructure that needs an upgrade.
Oracle expands training and data centers
To help out, Oracle is teaming up with universities for better AI training and building new data centers across India.
Kumar also pointed out how important it is to have good rules in place so AI gives reliable results, and he expects regulations will keep evolving as the industry grows.
With over three decades in India, and a big focus on banking, Oracle sees lots of room for growth and wants to speed up its expansion in the country's AI scene.
