US dollar slips to 99.53 before Kevin Warsh Fed meeting
The US dollar slipped a bit on Wednesday as everyone waited to see what Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh would do at his first big meeting.
The dollar had been up earlier because of tensions in the Middle East, but now it is down to 99.53.
Most people think interest rates will stay the same, but with inflation heating up, investors are hoping for hints about what might come next.
Yen near 160.43 per US dollar
The Japanese yen is still struggling near 160.43 per US dollar, even after Japan's central bank raised rates to its highest level in 31 years.
Markets are on edge since officials did not say much about future moves, and there is talk of possible government intervention if things get worse.
Meanwhile, both the euro and British pound barely budged while everyone waits for the Fed's announcement later today.
