India's ad market is growing fast, with WPP Media saying it will reach $22.5 billion by 2026, up 8.8%.
A big chunk of that growth comes from AI-powered ads, which are expected to bring in over $2.5 billion as tools like Google's AI Overviews change how brands reach people online.
Short videos boost digital ad revenue
Short videos on the rapid adoption of short-form video, creator-led content and the emergence of microdramas are fueling a 13.2% jump in digital ad revenue, set to hit $8.3 billion soon.
Commerce media (think Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto) is up 29%, while TV ads are actually shrinking as marketers shift spending toward digital platforms and streaming services gaining audience share.
Even out-of-home ads (like billboards) are bouncing back thanks to infrastructure investments, transit expansion and a recovery in commuting patterns.
