Xflow and HSBC let foreign firms accept payments in India
Xflow, a cross-border payments platform, just partnered with HSBC to help international businesses collect money from Indian customers: No need to set up an Indian company or deal with local rules.
Announced at Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai, this move lets foreign firms accept payments through familiar methods like UPI, cards, and net banking.
Indian local payments over 95% successful
Getting paid from India has been tough: card payments often fail due to many cards not being enabled for overseas spending, recurring charges are tricky thanks to India's data and mandate requirements, and wire transfers are slow and pricey.
With Xflow and HSBC's partnership set to enable cross-border payments using India's local payment infrastructure, through local payment methods like UPI and cards, which have a more than 95% success rate, global brands can finally tap into India's massive market without the usual hassle.
