Zomato parent Eternal receives ₹64 crore tax demand

Eternal, the company behind Zomato, just received a ₹64.17 crore tax demand from Uttar Pradesh authorities over alleged tax shortfalls and extra input credits.
Eternal says they'll fight the order and don't expect it to disrupt their business.

Eternal's revenue up 2.8x YoY in Q2 FY26

Even with this tax hurdle, Eternal's Q2 FY26 revenue soared to ₹13,590 crore—approximately 2.8 times last year's numbers—though net profit dropped 63% to ₹65 crore.
Shares dipped slightly after the news but have still climbed over 172% since listing in 2021.
