Actor Allu summoned in 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' stampede case
Entertainment
Allu Arjun has been called to court after a tragic stampede broke out at the Pushpa 2: The Rule premiere in Hyderabad back in December 2024.
Overcrowding at Sandhya Theatre led to the death of 35-year-old Revathi and left her eight-year-old son, Sritej, critically injured, turning what should've been an exciting night into a heartbreaking one.
Allu to appear June 22 2026
Arjun, listed as accused No. 11, needs to appear in person on June 22, 2026.
The theater management is also facing charges for not alerting authorities about Arjun's surprise visit, which meant there wasn't enough crowd control or security.
Investigators found big gaps in safety planning: 23 people are now charged, including Arjun, as officials try to figure out how this could have been prevented.
