Amitabh Bachchan is mighty impressed by the 'scintillating' Alia Bhatt
Big B is all praises for the younger generation of Bollywood. After saying great things about his Brahmastra co-star Ranbir Kapoor, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan took to social media once again, this time to appreciate Alia Bhatt, calling her "effervescent" and "supremely talented". In the picture that the superstar shared, Alia was seen hugging him. Here are more details on this.
Taking to his Instagram account, Bachchan shared an adorable monochromatic picture where he and Alia were seen sharing an emotional moment. In praise of Alia, the 77-year-old actor wrote, "She breezed in, did her shot, a huddle, and out, the effervescent, supremely talented, scintillating Alia (sic)." Notably, this is the first time that Bachchan is collaborating with Alia and Ranbir.
Alia, who entered the Bollywood scene with Karan Johar's 2012 movie Student of the Year, has given standout performances in several movies such as Highway, Dear Zindagi, Udta Punjab, Raazi and Gully Boy.
Just a couple of days ago, Bachchan shared a picture with Ranbir from sets of Brahmastra. He wrote, "On the sets..with the one I admire and adore..one of the finest..need the 4 chairs to match up to his incredible talent (sic)." In another post, Bachchan shared a throwback picture with a 7-year-old Ranbir and his granduncle Shashi Kapoor from sets of 1991 movie Ajooba.
Talking about the movie, Brahmastra is one of the most anticipated movies of this year. It is expected to feature high-end visual effects (VFX). Apart from Bachchan, Ranbir and Alia, the movie also stars Telugu movie star Akkineni Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy and Dimple Kapadia in supporting roles. Co-produced by Karan Johar, Brahmastra is set to hit the theaters on December 4, 2020.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that lovebirds Ranbir and Alia, who have been dating for more than two years now, might tie the knot in December, soon after the release of Brahmastra. In fact, preparations for the big-fat wedding are already underway, the reports add.
