Anupam Kher's directorial, Tanvi The Great, has been selected for the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. The film will be a part of the Indian Panorama section. Kher announced this news on Instagram, expressing his gratitude for the recognition. The movie stars newcomer Shubhangi Dutt and features an ensemble cast including Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Karan Tacker, Arvind Swami, Nasser, and British actor Iain Glen. The festival will take place from November 20-28.

Tanvi The Great is a heartwarming story that focuses on a young woman with autism (played by Dutt) and her courageous spirit. Inspired by her late father, she aspires to join the Indian Army, undeterred by the challenges on the way. The film was produced by Anupam Kher Studios in association with NFDC.

Film has received international recognition
Tanvi The Great has been recognized internationally during its festival circuit in Cannes, New York, London, and Houston. It also received standing ovations at special screenings held at the National Defence Academy and Southern Command in Pune. The film was initially released in theaters on July 18, 2025, and later re-released on September 26, 2025. Meanwhile, IFFI 2025 is set to feature over 240 films from 81 countries, including world premieres and Asian premieres.
