'Awarapan 2' maintains momentum, crosses ₹180cr mark globally

The Hindi film Awarapan 2, starring Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani, has crossed the ₹180cr mark worldwide. The movie, a sequel to the 2007 cult classic Awarapan, has been performing well at the box office since its release on August 14. Despite facing competition from Sunny Deol's Batwara 1947, it has emerged as a major commercial success.

'Awarapan 2' has remained steady
On its ninth day (Saturday), Awarapan 2 witnessed a significant increase in its box office collection, with a 43.5% growth compared to the previous day's earnings.
The film collected ₹8.25cr across 10,008 shows on Day 9, taking the total India net collection to ₹127.5cr and the total India gross collection to ₹152.11cr.
Overseas, it added another ₹1.5cr on Day 9, bringing its total overseas gross to ₹28.8cr and worldwide gross collection to over ₹180cr.

The film's day-wise collection has been impressive, with the highest earnings on Day 2 at ₹33.75cr.
The other days saw collections of ₹22cr (Day 1), ₹26cr (Day 3), ₹9.25cr (Day 4), ₹9.75cr (Day 5), ₹6.75cr (Day 6), and ₹6cr (Day 7).
However, the collections dipped to ₹5.75cr on Day 8 before surging again on Day 9 with earnings of ₹8.25cr.
