Obsession, the supernatural horror movie made for just $750,000, has become a surprise hit with over $286 million earned worldwide since May.
But director Curry Barker isn't rushing into a sequel. He says he'd rather explore fresh stories than stick with the same characters, even though he has a cool idea for Obsession 2.
Barker plans 'Obsession' anthology
Barker wants to turn Obsession into an anthology series, focusing on new characters who all face the classic "be careful what you wish for" twist.
As he puts it, "It's not really a sequel... There are so many stories to be told."
On top of that, he's also set to direct a new Texas Chainsaw Massacre film with a fresh perspective while still respecting the original.
