What's the story

Akash Makhija, who plays the antagonist Babu in the recently released series Raakh, has revealed that an intimacy coach and a child therapist were present on set to ensure a comfortable filming environment. The show is based on the infamous 1978 Ranga-Billa case and stars Divya Sharma as Suman and Vivaan Sharma as Sahil. In an interview with Times Now/Zoom, Makhija spoke about how the makers ensured everyone felt safe while shooting intense scenes.

Filming process

We had 15 cuts for 1 scene, revealed Makhija

Makhija revealed that they had to do multiple takes for a particular car scene where Babu's sexual desire toward Suman is awakened. He said, "We had an intimacy coach, a child therapist, and an action master on set. You have seen it as an entire scene, but we had at least 15 cuts." "We made sure nobody felt uncomfortable. The intimacy coach helped us a lot, and without his final word, the scene wouldn't have gone ahead."

Actor's reflection

'Divya's performance moved everyone to tears'

Makhija also spoke about the emotional impact of Sharma's performance. He said, "Most of the people on set broke down watching Divya's performance; she was brilliant." "After seeing that kind of reaction, I wondered ab log mujhse kitna nafrat karenge." "We performed multiple times, but we were fully aware that it was just acting. Agar mujhe kisiko maarna hai main thodi na uska gala dabaunga. Action director hume batate hai ki kidhar rokna hai."
