CCTV footage obtained
Delhi Police sources have reportedly obtained CCTV footage of the suspect's car entering and leaving the parking lot. The footage suggests that the suspect was alone in the vehicle at the time of the explosion. Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah confirmed that the explosion took place in a Hyundai i20 car at the Subhash Marg traffic signal near Red Fort at 7:00pm on Monday, injuring pedestrians and damaging vehicles.

Delhi Police officials have dismissed speculations that the explosion was a bomb blast. They stated, "An explosion happened in a moving car on the road. There is no crater at the spot. Therefore, we cannot say if it was a bomb blast." "Also, no pellet/splinter injuries have been reported till now, which is the most common injury in bomb blasts." The Hyundai i20 car that exploded has been severely damaged. Forensic teams are currently collecting samples.
