Chopra announces 'Ventilator' sequel for Purple Pebble Pictures 10th anniversary
Priyanka Chopra just dropped some exciting news: a sequel to her first Marathi film, Ventilator, is coming! She timed the announcement with the 10-year milestone of her production house, Purple Pebble Pictures.
The original Ventilator (2016), directed by Rajesh Mapuskar and starring Ashutosh Gowariker, went on to win three National Film Awards and became one of the first major projects under Priyanka's Purple Pebble Pictures banner.
Mapuskar returns to direct 'Ventilator 2'
Rajesh Mapuskar returns as director for Ventilator 2, which is set for release in 2027.
Priyanka shared on Instagram how much this project means to her and her team: "10 years ago, with @purplepebblepictures, I decided I want to tell stories that mean something. Ventilator was one of those very important stories to us at the company. A decade later, we're coming back to it, with so much more..."
While details about the new cast or story are still under wraps, fans can expect more heartfelt storytelling, just like the original explored family bonds during Ganesh Chaturthi.
