Delhi High Court clears 'Yes man' with 4 passages covered
Entertainment
The Delhi High Court just gave the green light for Yes Man: The Untold Story of Rana Kapoor to hit shelves again, but with a twist: four parts that were called out as defamatory or derogatory have to be covered up.
This update comes after the trial court had, on July 10, 2024, restrained the defendants from selling, distributing or circulating the book during the pendency of the suit.
High court calls earlier restrictions excessive
The court said only those four specific passages needed masking and criticized earlier, broader restrictions as over-the-top.
The goal? To protect Kapoor's reputation without stopping everyone from reading the rest of the book.
The full trial is still on, but for now, readers can check out most of the biography, minus those controversial bits.
