Entertainment

Dia Mirza's Marathi short film, Panha, just took home Best Indian Short Film at Mumbai's All Living Things Environmental Film Festival.
The story follows a mango farming family in Maharashtra facing eviction because of a bullet train project—real farmers from Maharashtra even opened up their orchards and lives for the shoot.

Made with real stories and heartfelt gratitude

Mirza shared her gratitude, saying in a statement, "This win is for the farmers who opened their homes and hearts to us," while director Sakshi Mishra called Panha a film about "stillness, intimacy, and listening."
Both credited the local community for trusting them, making this win feel like a shared celebration.
The festival itself spotlights films on climate action and sustainability through powerful storytelling.
