Disney developing Medusa film from Montemayor with Seven Bucks producing

Disney is working on a new film all about Medusa, the legendary Gorgon from Greek mythology.
The script comes from Michael Montemayor (who is also behind the Tangled remake), and it will be produced by Dwayne Johnson's Seven Bucks company, though Johnson himself is not involved.

Medusa's story, as one of three Gorgons who can petrify people into stone, has appeared in media inspired by the myths like Clash of the Titans and Percy Jackson.
