Evans confirms return as Captain America in 'Avengers: Secret Wars'
Chris Evans just confirmed he's returning as Steve Rogers (yep, Captain America!) for Avengers: Secret Wars.
Before that, you'll catch him in Avengers: Doomsday (out December 18, 2026), his first Marvel appearance since Endgame back in 2019.
Sharing his excitement, Evans said, "I start work on the next one in a couple of months."
Rogers steps away in 'Avengers: Doomsday'
In Doomsday, Steve Rogers steps away from the shield to focus on family with Peggy Carter, while Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) may be the only character to go by the Captain America title in the film.
The film also brings back Robert Downey Jr., but this time as Doctor Doom, who's bound to create some multiversal chaos and leaked footage is appearing to reveal him deploying a Sentinel army against the X-Men.
Both movies are set to dig deeper into Steve's legacy and shake things up for Marvel fans.
