Filmmaker PT Kunju Muhammad gets anticipatory bail in IFFK molestation case

Filmmaker and ex-MLA PT Kunju Muhammad was granted anticipatory bail on Saturday after being accused of molesting a female member of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) selection committee.
The woman said he made unwanted physical advances in a hotel room during their work together and reported it to the Chief Minister in writing.

What's happening with the case?

The court ordered Muhammad to show up for police questioning within seven days and fully cooperate.
Investigators have already taken the complainant's statement and collected hotel CCTV footage, but Muhammad's statement is yet to be recorded.
If arrested during the investigation, he'll be released on bail as per court orders.
The inquiry is still ongoing.
