Indore Crime Branch arrests ZeeFlix app operator pirating JioStar content
JioStar's crackdown on piracy just got real: Indore Crime Branch arrested the person behind the ZeeFlix Android app, which was streaming JioStar's content without permission.
An FIR was filed on August 19, 2026, and ZeeFlix had been offering paid access to over 1,000 unauthorized TV channels (including over 50 sports channels), using broadcaster logos like they were legit.
Police seize devices, ZeeFlix earned 20L
On August 20, cops raided premises associated with the accused and grabbed phones, a laptop, hard disk, and more.
Turns out ZeeFlix had over 35,000 downloads and about 20,000 active subscribers, raking in around ₹2 million.
JioStar reps even bought subscriptions for ₹149 and ₹799 to confirm illegal access to premium content like live sports.
The probe also found links to other platforms like HotWebSeries; now forensic experts are digging into all the seized tech as part of JioStar's bigger anti-piracy push.
