Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker M Appavu has commented on the stampede incident. He alleged that Vijay's deliberately delayed arrival at the rally caused the tragedy. "After acting on the silver screen, Mr. Vijay is acting on the instructions of Union Home Minister Amit Shah," he said, adding that they are now rushing to Delhi for damage control. Vijay's name was not included in the FIR related to this incident.
