BTS member Jungkook is all set to unveil a new side of his life in the upcoming documentary, Jungkook: I Am Still. The film, directed by Junsoo Park, will offer fans a glimpse into the creation of his solo album Golden while serving in the South Korean military. Indian fans can catch the documentary on the big screen starting Saturday, September 21 at PVR cinemas.

Jungkook: I Am Still is a video diary that documents Jungkook's journey toward his solo debut. The film will feature exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and concert performances. It aims to capture the BTS member's dedication and growth over an eight-month period. The documentary will also highlight Jungkook's rise to fame and his interactions with the ARMY (BTS fanbase) around the world.
Documentary to offer glimpse into Jungkook's love for fans
In a statement, BigHit Music described the documentary as a deep dive into Jungkook's journey toward becoming a "global pop star" and his heartfelt love for his fans. The film will also offer a sneak peek into the preparation for his first solo album Golden, scenes from various performances, and never-before-seen footage of Jungkook's innermost thoughts.
Special photo zone event was launched ahead of film's release
To build anticipation for the film's initial release, a special photo zone event was launched at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Korea on September 4. The event, which will run until October 1, features posters, trailers, and heartfelt messages from Jungkook. Visitors can also immerse themselves in the experience with a dedicated selfie zone, allowing them to capture memorable moments with the backdrop of the upcoming documentary.
Jungkook's solo album 'Golden' made waves in 2023
In 2023, Jungkook made his solo album debut with Golden, which featured international artists like Jack Harlow, Latto, Usher, and DJ Snake. The album consists of 11 tracks including Seven, 3D, Yes Or No, Please Don't Change and Standing Next To You. Jungkook is set to return to music and BTS in 2025 after all other BTS members are discharged from the military.

Jungkook officially released his first solo single Seven, featuring American rapper Latto, in two versions: Explicit and Clean on July 14, 2023. The song made history by becoming the fastest to surpass one billion streams on Spotify. It also debuted at number one on Billboard Hot 100, Global 200, and Global 200 Excl. US charts, making Jungkook the first Korean soloist to top all three charts simultaneously.
