    What's the story

Kajol, who was last seen in 2017 Tamil film 'VIP 2' alongside Dhanush, is all set to star in 'Eela'.

The film will have Kajol playing a single mother to this year's 'National Award for Best Actor' winner Riddhi Sen.

Neha Dhupia will also play an important role in 'Eela'. The film would release on September 14.

    Details

Pradeep Sarkar is helming the film

'Parineeta' and 'Mardaani' fame director Pradeep Sarkar will helm 'Eela'.

The film is an adaptation of Anand Gandhi's Gujarati play titled "Beta Kaagdo."

The story revolves around the relationship between a mother and a son.

Ajay Devgn and Jayantilal Gada of Pen India Limited will jointly bankroll the project.

    Information

Kajol's last Hindi film was 'Dilwale'

Kajol is returning to Bollywood after a hiatus of almost three years. Her last Hindi film was Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Dilwale'. It clashed with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Bajirao Mastani' and did not do expected business at the box office.
