What's the story

Kapil Sharma, the beloved stand-up comedian and actor, recently opened up about his new film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2. He admitted that he was initially skeptical since the plot revolves around one man being married to three women from different religious communities. "It sounded too controversial," Sharma told Bollywood Hungama. The film is directed by Anukalp Goswami.

Film journey

Sharma's initial hesitation and eventual agreement

Sharma revealed that he agreed to do his first film, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, because of Goswami, who wrote the first part. "I didn't even know where to stand, where to look into the camera in a film shooting. Anukalp sir has been my permanent collaborator on my Kapil Sharma Show," he said. When Goswami proposed the sequel, Sharma was initially unsure. He recalled, "[Goswami] assured me our film will offend nobody. And he was right! People have responded positively."

Special appearance

Sharma's wife Ginny's cameo in 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2'

One of the highlights of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is the surprise appearance of Sharma's wife, Ginny. "Although I am shown flirting with many women in the film, Ginny is the only one for me," he said. He also called her his "Home Minister" and acknowledged her support during his darkest times. "She runs my home and my life, looks after my mother and my children."

Future plans

Sharma's upcoming projects and restaurant controversy

Sharma is now looking forward to the next season of The Great Indian Kapil Show. He said, "The stage is where I am the most comfortable. Thankfully, people have not got tired of me even after all these years." He also addressed the repeated targeting of his restaurant in Canada, saying, "Lata ji had once said, 'Only a tree leaden with fruits gets stoned.' I won't say anything more."
